Making Lunch Fun, One Box at a Time

ben·tol·o·gy (ben t äləjē) Noun : The study of making nutritious and fun lunches for my daughters.

I get a lot of inspiration from other blogs. So, in hopes someone might get some inspiration from me, I've decided to post some pictures here.

This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.Proverbs 3:7-9

Girl Scout Bento

Tonight my daughter has her bridging ceremony as she moves from being a Girl Scout Daisy to a Girl Scout Brownie.  So, her lunch today celebrates that.

- 2 Trefoil-shaped sandwiches (stacked) with a Girl Scout pick
- Carrots with ranch
- Daisy shaped cheddar cheese
- Red and golden raspberries in the shape of a daisy
- And, of course, a daisy shaped brownie for dessert!

  2. A girl scout pick? Are you kidding me? You crack me up! Where on earth did you pick that up? You really are the bento queen!

  3. Joanie, I have purchased most of my cupcake picks at a local cake decorating store. You can buy the picks individually -- it's AWESOME!

  4. Your blog is amazing! I have just started making Bentos for my preschooler, so we aren't quite as elaborate as you (yet), but I wondered... where do you find all these fabulous picks? I have a few sets of cupcake picks, but if I buy them in packs I end up with 12 of the same kind. Is there a trick to finding cool picks with only 1 or 2 of each?

  5. Kristinec0290, I'm so sorry it took me so long to respond to your post. I'm lucky enough to have a cake decorating store locally that sells cupcake picks individually. It's awesome! However, if you don't live in central Ohio or have a similar store near you, you can also buy holiday sets from the Cookie Cutter blog: http://cookiecutterlunch.blogspot.com/p/shop-cookie-cutter-lunch.html Hope that helps!
