MB Original Bento Box

I am excited to announce Bento-logy's partnership with monbento® company, the first French brand in nomad tableware and kitchenware.  As part of this partnership, they graciously offered to send some of their products for us to test.  My daughters are SUPER excited about the new box and accessories.   Although monbento offers a huge array of colors, we selected blue in case Daddy might want to use it too.   The biggest question was who got to use it first?!

The box we selected has 2 tiers.  Each tier has a valve you can open when heating food up. My daughters probably won't use that feature since they can't heat up lunches at school.  But, my husband and I definitely will when we take leftovers to work.   The lids seem to fit tightly but are easy enough my youngest daughter (who is 8) can get them open.   The box appears to be very high quality.

  • Salad containing lettuce, spinach, peas, carrots, broccoli, grape tomatoes and green olives.  It is decorated with 2 snowflake cupcake picks.  The 2 small cups in the top tier contain Italian salad dressing.  One cup might have been enough but I wasn't sure so I included two.   I also included some croutons (or "salad crackers" as my daughters like to call them) in the second tier too.
  • Peanut butter/wheat cracker sandwiches
  • Strawberries
  • Ghiradelli chocolate
  • monbento silverware set

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Well, after 2 weeks of break for the holidays and 2 "snow" days due to sub-zero weather it's finally time to head back to school!

I was inspired by this lunch created by my bento buddy Jeana at Tiny Princess Lunchbox.  I think her version is cute but my girls didn't see hers so hopefully they will like mine:

The sandwich was made to look like an igloo using the Funbites Cube-It.   The penguin is just a piece of white bread, cut into a penguin shape and decorated with food markers.
  • Strawberries with letter picks
  • Broccoli and ranch decorated with snowflake picks
  • Dove Milk Chocolate
  • Dove Milk chocolate
